Live stream of the intermediary presentations of the workcamp!

On Sunday, 13th September, we invite everyone to join us at the Jewish cemetary in Zittau. Together we will approach the cemetary as an authentic historical space – and a space of digital learing for all.
The participants will share the current stage of their work at various points. They show which historical information about Jewish life and death in Zittau has already been processed for (digital) learning, point out which aspects they find especially intriguing and which challenges they encountered in the past days.
An most importantly of all, they will answer the question how they are experiencing their time in Zittau.
Setting:
The Jewish cemetary is a place of religious worship. We therefore ask all males to cover the heads. Please pay attention to the current guidelines concering the Corona pandemic and act accordingly. Please be mindful of your and other peoples‘ health.

Am 13. September laden wir alle Interessierten ein, sich mit uns den jüdischen Friedhof zu erschließen. An einzelnen Stationen zeigen die Teilnehmenden, an welchen Punkt sie gerade sind:
Welche Inhalte sind schon aufbereitet?
Welche Aspekte machen besondere Freude oder sind herausfordernd?
Welche Erlebnisse haben Eindruck hinterlassen –
und wie geht es Allen?
Wir zeigen auch, wie weit die 3-D Visualisierung des Friedhofs ist und berichten von den Exkursionen.
Da der jüdische Friedhof ein religiöser Ort ist, bitten wir die männlichen* Besucher ihn nur mir Kopfbedeckung zu betreten.
Wir bitten alle, ihre Mund- und Nasenschutze einzupacke und anzuziehen.
WHAT IS MAZEWA?
MAZEWA is a youth project mapping Jewish life and death in the Zittau region. After the first week of this year’s workcamp (focusing on heritage interpretation and digital mapping), we invite local citizens to visit while we are working on a virtual tour of the Jewish cemetery. The volunteers will talk about their experiences – which aspects of the workcamp are fun, what is challenging? What are they working on right now?
The event will be streamed via Facebook and Instagram.
WAS IST MAZEWA?
MIt Mazewa erschließen wir den jüdischen Friedhof in Zittau als einen digitalen Lernort. Wir möchten den „guten Ort“ und den damit verbundenen Alltag von jüdischem Leben und Sterben in Zittau sichtbarer machen.
Kern von MAZEWA sind zwei internationale Workcamps für junge Erwachsene.
